QA: How to move answer to comment

Hi guys,
Not sure if it’s the right place to ask this question but I hope you can edit my topic.
I’m using the QA Plugin in our Discourse community and we noticed for some strange behaviour from the user’s side. Some OP opens a new topic with a question and gets an answer. Instead of clicking on the ‘comment’ button, he clicks the ‘answer’ button as he thinks he will ‘answer’ to the user that helped him.

  • As an admin, I could not find a way to move the ‘answer’ into the comment (or the other way).
  • Is there a way to make it more visible? Maybe if you are the OP, you should get an alert message that says ‘Are you sure you want to answer your own question?’

Thanks for the feedback @darkchill and sorry for the inconvenient.

This is in my to-do list but I can’t promise it in near future. Adding feature to move comment into answers is relatively easy but not the other way.

I will see if I can add this feature in early June. I will keep you updated.

@darkchill I added the ability to move comment to answers in the last version. Will look to add the other feature (answer → comment) in the next release.
